Candle Care & Safety

Looking after your candle is very important and ensures you get the best possible experience each time its lit.

Here are some candle care tips and tricks:

First Burn
When lighting your candle for the first time, allow the wax pool to melt to the edge of the jar.

Wick
Trim wick before lighting.
You can do this by pinching the burnt part of the wick with your fingers. (This prevents the flame from flickering/smoking & your candle can then burn more consistently) When you relight your candle the flame might appear bigger and smoke but it will die down as the wax pool melts out

Position
Place candle on a stable heat resistant surface away from anything that can catch fire. Avoid exposure to drafts & vibrations. If the candle is placed somewhere with a breeze the candle will burn bigger and smoke.
Burn candle within sight.

Safety
Keep out of reach of children & pets.
Keep candle free of any foreign materials including the wick trimmings, seed paper dust cover, packaging & matches.
Never touch or move a hot candle.
Always allow to cool before relighting.

Timing
Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
When 12mm of un-melted wax remains stop burning.
